Introduction of RS232 to Ethernet Converters
The RS232 to Ethernet Converters, used for data transparent transmission. USR-TCP232-302 is a low-cost serial ethernet converter,whose function is to realize bidirectional transparent transmission between RS232 and Ethernet. USR-TCP232-302 is internally integrated with TCP/IP protocol. User can apply it to device networking communication.

Work Mode
TCP Server mode:
302 will listen to port that configured by user and wait to TCP Client connection.
302 will transmit data from serial device to all connected TCP Clients by transparent transmission.
PC initiates and establishes connection
302 realizes bidirectional data transmission between serial device and TCP Client

TCP Client mode:
302 will initiate TCP connection to destination IP address that configured by user and 302 will continuously try to reconnect if establishing TCP connection unsuccessfully.
If 302 establishes TCP connection to TCP Server successfully, it can realize bidirectional data transparent transmission between TCP Server and serial device.

UDP mode:
302 will transmit serial data from serial device to target network side device by UDP connection.
302 will listen to port and transmit all received data to serial device.

HTTP Client mode
302 supports HTTP Client mode which can transmit serial data to HTTP server in HTTP format(GET/POST).

Baud rate synchronization function:
User can dynamically modify 302’s serial parameters by network commands.

Identity packet function:
When 302 works as TCP Client, it can send identity packet to TCP server which can be identification.
Identity packet can be IMEI code, ICCID code and user editable identity packet.

Heartbeat packet:
Network heartbeat packet: 302 can send heartbeat packet to network server periodically to inform server that 302 is in active status and to keep normal network connection with server.
Serial heartbeat packet: 302 can send heartbeat packet to serial device periodically to inform serial device that 302 is in active status and serial heartbeat packet can also be used to grab sensor data.
